Company Overview

Founded in 1886 Watson’s Office City had its beginnings as a news stand in East Saint Louis, Illinois. Gradually books were added, including textbooks for the city’s schools. Office supplies were added in the 1940’s. in 1982 a second location was opened in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

As the company evolved through the years the focus has always been on the customer. Up against “big Box” stores, wholesale clubs, national resellers and now the Internet resellers, Watson’s Office City continues to thrive by giving customers what they need, when they need it at a competitive price.

Watson’s Office City is still locally owned by Marty Miller and Ken Lenz. Our offices are located at 290 Axminister Drive in Fenton, Missouri.

We carry very low overhead and have a strategic partnership with the largest office products wholesaler in the country, S.P. Richards, Co. They have 39 distribution centers located across the United States, that have an average of 182,000 sq. foot in each of their warehouses.

Our company is uniquely qualified to service the Midwest Region. With “our” warehouse, we can supply on a 24-hour basis, the largest selection of office products available in the region. “Our” inventory – 27,312 different items in stock, is readily available, right here in St. Louis.
